Hall of Fame

Hall of Fame

IQuESt is proud of its efforts to provide high-quality science to advance the health of Veterans and the nation, as well as to ensure the delivery of patient-centered discoveries. To emphasize the high impact work of our investigators, we display the first page of publications which meet criteria listed below in our Hall of Fame, located in a common area.

Criteria Include:

First- or senior-authored publications:*

  • Published since 2008 in a journal with an impact factor of 12 or greater OR
  • Published any year in any peer-reviewed journal and cited at least 125 times OR
  • Impacted clinical guidelines, health policy, or Institute of Medicine Reports

*Authors must conform to VA pre-publication reporting guidelines and list the HSR project, if applicable, or IQuESt as a funding source.

In addition, the announcement and celebration of a publication meeting the above criteria is made at our quarterly all-staff meetings as well as our bi-monthly faculty meetings.

High-Impact Publications

Our work has contributed to 53 papers cited in 13 Institute of Medicine reports, 88 briefs and reports to the President/Congress/Cabinet Secretaries, 123 papers cited in 63 clinical guidelines for patient care, one paper selected by Faculty of 1000 as one of the top 2% of all published articles in the biology and medicine sciences, and five papers cited in three US Centers for Disease Control-recommended programs.
